Events at Jagdhaus Eiden
We offer our guests thrilling event highlights at Jagdhaus Eiden, as well as in Bad Zwischenahn and the surrounding area throughout the year.
In addition to recurring village events, such as the annual Bad Zwischenahn week in August, you can also anticipate a number of events at the Jagdhaus Eiden that have almost become a tradition, often exclusively for you, our hotel guests. These include among other events: setting up the maypole, Midsummer Night, Thanksgiving, as well as our goose buffet in November, the gala menu on New Year’s Eve or our legendary kitchen parties. It’s never boring at Jagdhaus Eiden and you’re guaranteed a special experience – simply very special, very Eiden.
Oktoberfest
The keg is tapped. We’re bringing Oktoberfest to Ammerland.
On October 25, 2026, we look forward to welcoming you between 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at the Jagdhaus Eiden, overlooking the Zwischenahner Meer.
The Tinnen Wind Orchestra will provide the entertainment.
In addition, our kitchen team has put together a small menu of additional Bavarian specialties for you.
The ticket price includes a hot dish (choice of a pair of Bavarian white sausages with sweet mustard, a small Leberkäs sandwich, cheese spaetzle with fried onions, or Serviettenknödel with mushroom cream sauce) and a pretzel.
It’s going to be a blast.

Autumn Buffet

On 1 November 2026, we invite you to our autumn buffet. Look forward to a varied selection of fish, meat and vegetarian dishes, accompanied by delicious autumnal side dishes and seasonal specialties. Carefully prepared with great attention to detail, our buffet offers an enjoyable lunch with a variety of flavours and a cosy atmosphere. Come to our annual goose buffet on 15 November 2026 at 12 noon and enjoy freshly carved goose accompanied by delicious red cabbage with apples, wine cabbage, Brussels sprouts and Ammerland kale. We also serve bread dumplings, potato dumplings and stewed apples.

Opening of the Festive Lights
As the days grow shorter and the anticipation of Christmas builds, Jagdhaus Eiden once again shines in a festive sea of lights.
On 16 November 2026, we warmly invite our hotel guests to the opening of our Festival of Lights. Together, we would like to illuminate our magnificent Christmas tree and officially usher in the Christmas season at Jagdhaus Eiden.
Standing at an impressive 27 metres, our Christmas tree is certainly one of the tallest in Germany and is a spectacular sight year after year. When thousands of lights illuminate our grounds, a truly magical pre-Christmas atmosphere is created.
We will be serving mulled wine and traditional Christmas stollen and look forward to sharing this special festive moment with you.
The opening of the Festival of Lights is a special experience for our hotel guests and takes place as part of your stay with us.

The shopping experience in Bad Zwischenahn is characterized not only by the wide variety of stores, but above all by the town’s unique, inviting atmosphere. Well-maintained streets and idyllic squares invite visitors to take a leisurely stroll, lending the shopping experience a charm all its own. Here, visitors can discover exclusive fashion boutiques, jewelry stores, art galleries, and artisanal workshops. Whether it’s handmade jewelry, stylish clothing, artistic ceramics, or regional delicacies—there’s something for every taste and budget.
Regular weekly and artisan markets also offer the opportunity to purchase products directly from local producers. Fresh farm-to-table food, lovingly crafted gift ideas, and regional specialties make shopping a special experience.
A unique feature in Bad Zwischenahn is the so-called 7-day shopping rule. As a state-recognized spa town, shops here are permitted to open daily for up to eight hours from December 15 through October 31, including Sundays and holidays. Exceptions are Good Friday and Christmas Day, on which Sunday openings are not permitted. From November 1 through December 14, stores remain closed on Sundays. On these quiet Sundays, events that do not fit the peaceful character of the day—such as exhibition days or open houses—are also prohibited.
On Remembrance Day and All Souls’ Day, commercial displays—such as those by nurseries or flower shops—are not permitted. However, retail outlets may open for up to three hours outside of regular church service times to offer a limited selection of flowers and plants. Non-commercial events, such as bazaars organized by clubs or nonprofit organizations, are still permitted.
An additional tip for guests: The guest card, which every overnight guest receives, is particularly worthwhile. It offers numerous discounts, such as on admission fees, at restaurants, or while shopping, making it a practical companion for your stay in Bad Zwischenahn.

The concert features two renowned opera singers accompanied by piano and presents a selection of the most beautiful musical melodies, duets, as well as opera and operetta arias. Highlights include the Musette aria from “La Bohème” by G. Puccini, the Barcarolle from “The Tales of Hoffmann” by J. Offenbach, the Wolgalied from the operetta “Zarewitsch”, and many other beloved classics.

Admission to our restaurant is from 6:30 PM (evening attire is requested).
We will serve a glass of champagne as an aperitif at 7:00 PM.
Dinner service will begin at 7:15 PM.
For the duration of the menu (until 10:30 PM), the aperitif (champagne), our selected table wines, mineral water, and soft drinks are included in the menu price.
Digestifs, spirits, and coffee are not included in the menu price,
nor are any beverages ordered or served after 10:30 PM.

Interesting wines, exquisite finger food, and stimulating conversation

Our fourth Winemaker's Evening will take place on March 21, 2027.
You can look forward to winemakers hand-picked by us and their wines.
We'll be there throughout the evening with several food stalls, our own wine from our vineyards,
and, of course, attentive service.
Enjoy a variety of exciting wines, delicious food, and pleasant conversation with a glimpse
into the daily life of an independent winemaker.
The event will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the Jägerstube, Terroir, and Petit Terroir rooms.
Wine, water, soft drinks, and food are included.
P.S. If you'd prefer not to drive home after the evening in a relaxed atmosphere, you can book a hotel room with a 15% discount on the room rate. Simply mention "Wine & Dine" as the keyword.
