Events at Jagdhaus Eiden
We offer our guests thrilling event highlights at Jagdhaus Eiden, as well as in Bad Zwischenahn and the surrounding area throughout the year.
In addition to recurring village events, such as the annual Bad Zwischenahn week in August, you can also anticipate a number of events at the Jagdhaus Eiden that have almost become a tradition, often exclusively for you, our hotel guests. These include among other events: setting up the maypole, Midsummer Night, Thanksgiving, as well as our goose buffet in November, the gala menu on New Year’s Eve or our legendary kitchen parties. It’s never boring at Jagdhaus Eiden and you’re guaranteed a special experience – simply very special, very Eiden.

Guided tour of the Bruns Eel Smokehouse
In Bad Zwischenahn, you will find two of Germany’s largest and most beautiful fish shops. Here, you can enjoy the unique Zwischenahner smoked eels, premium smoked salmon, and many other fresh fish delicacies, all freshly prepared in our smokehouse.
Monthly Smokehouse Tours
From February to November, you have the chance to go behind the scenes at the Bruns Eel Smokehouse on the second Thursday of each month. After the tour, products can be purchased directly on site. Tastings (for a fee) are also available in one of our restaurants by prior arrangement.

Special Opening: Winter Bloom in the Park
The witch hazels (Hamamelis) are showing off in all their glory! The park features a collection of over 30 different witch hazels and other winter-blooming plant treasures, as well as a large selection of Christmas roses (Helleborus). A plant sale will of course be available on-site.
Annual passes for 2026 can also be purchased directly at the ticket counter on this day. The park’s café will be open, while the playgrounds are only partially usable due to the weather. Please note that walkers, wheelchairs, and handcarts cannot be rented on this day.

Night swimming with lights in a seaside wave poo
Between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., a captivating interplay of light, water and music unfolds. Hundreds of candles, lanterns and artistic light installations transform both the wave pool and the outdoor brine pool into a sparkling sea of lights. The first date of the illuminated swimming event is dedicated entirely to the Advent season. Festively decorated and surrounded by countless glowing lights, guests can float in the water, unwind and soak in the unique atmosphere of the spa.

With a soothing water temperature of 32°C and brine water of North Sea quality, the outdoor pool offers pure relaxation and turns into a winter wonderland during the illuminated swim. The gentle glow of candlelight creates an exceptional open-air wellness experience. Located directly on the shores of Lake Zwischenahn, guests can enjoy views of the surrounding nature while alternating between gentle movement and deep relaxation.
Dates and admission
The illuminated swimming event takes place once a month from December to February and is included in the regular admission price. The next dates are 16 January and 20 February 2026.

Interesting wines, exquisite finger food and stimulating conversation
Our third winegrowers' evening will take place on 22 March 2026.
You can look forward to four German winegrowers selected by us and their wines.
We will accompany the entire evening with several food stands, our own wine
and, of course, attentive service.
Look forward to many exciting wines, good food and pleasant conversations with an insight
into everyday life as an independent winemaker.
The event will take place from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. in the Jägerstube, Orangerie and (formerly) Apicius rooms.
Wines, water, soft drinks and food are included.

Special Opening: Signs of Spring in the Park
Over 60,000 spring flowers—including daffodils, tulips, hyacinths and horned violets, as well as Lenten roses, alpine roses, camellias and magnolias—will transform the park into a vibrant sea of blossoms. The brightly colored horned violets are especially eye-catching and, together with the fresh green tones of perennials and shrubs, highlight the park’s springtime charm.
The park’s glasshouse café will offer a selection of food and drinks to keep visitors well catered for. Annual passes for 2026 can be purchased directly at the ticket counter during the special opening.

Bricks by the Sea – The LEGO® Exhibition in Bad Zwischenahn
A full weekend dedicated to creativity, amazement and inspiration awaits LEGO® fans of all ages at “Bricks by the Sea 2026” in Bad Zwischenahn. The event has long since become a firm favorite and a true highlight within the LEGO community. In 2025, around 80 exhibitors from Germany, the Netherlands and Austria showcased their impressive creations, demonstrating just how diverse and imaginative the world of LEGO bricks can be.
Visitors can look forward to a wide variety of displays, ranging from highly detailed, realistic replicas to imaginative themed worlds. Fairytale castles, nostalgic Paradisa scenes and numerous creative MOCs (My Own Creations) add to the exhibition’s rich and varied offering, ensuring there is something to delight every age group.
About Bricks by the Sea e. V.
The event is organized by Bricks by the Sea e. V., a non-profit association based in and around Oldenburg. Founded in 2018, the association now has nearly 85 members aged between 2 and 80. Members meet once a month at a regular gathering in Oldenburg, and since mid-2021 the youth group Bricks Kids has been an integral part of the club.
Bricks by the Sea e. V. is officially recognized by LEGO as a LEGO User Group (LUG). The association focuses on collaborative creative building with LEGO bricks, organizing exhibitions and build meetings, as well as visiting events hosted by fellow LEGO builders and LEGO User Groups. In addition, the association is actively involved in social projects, working with schools and in cooperation with Fairy Bricks UK.

Rum-Wandern
Follow the fascinating trail of rum and embark on a journey that will take you almost all the way to the Caribbean. Along the way, you will learn intriguing facts about sugarcane, seafaring life, and the curious story of a captain who blew up his own boat in Bad Zwischenahn.
