Take a break in one of Oldenburg’s beautiful city gardens during your city stroll. Some of these gardens are designed as “future gardens,” highlighting important social topics. They not only provide a peaceful retreat but also inspire reflection. You’ll find the city gardens at ten locations across Oldenburg: 91er Straße, Büsingstift, Lefferseck, Julius-Mosen-Platz, Haarenstraße, Brunseck, Baumgartenstraße, Häusing Galeria/Schlosshöfe, Schlossplatz, and Buss. Come and get inspired!

Exclusive for our guests, the Shanty Chor Oldenburg performs in our restaurant. 

The choir brings us the work and leisure songs

of 19th-century sailors aboard sailing ships.

We are planning a pop-up restaurant for a fortnight - Little Corner Vietnam. It will be all about Vietnamese cuisine.

The menu will be completely Vietnamese and will follow soon.

If you fancy a longer break, you are welcome to book our time-out in Asia, which includes dinner in the pop-up restaurant on the day of arrival.

Students from the University of Oldenburg and the University of the Arts Bremen present Piazzolla’s María de Buenos Aires in a striking production with live ensemble, bandoneón, and surtitles. Directed by Volker Schindel, musical direction by Joaquín Alem.

Over 30 years have passed since the Oldenburg Stau – the city’s former harbor – disappeared from the urban landscape. Today, little remains to remind us of its history. On his guided tour, Helmuth Meinken brings the past back to life, sharing vivid stories of Oldenburg’s maritime and harbor heritage.

From August 8 to September 10, 2025, the park comes alive each evening with thousands of lights, artistic installations, and glowing landscapes. A captivating blend of light and art creates a magical nighttime experience for all ages.

From August 13 to 17, 2025, the Bad Zwischenahner Woche invites you to an unforgettable celebration full of fun, music, culture, and maritime atmosphere! Experience this traditional event, loved by thousands every year, with live music, exciting performances, a fantastic children’s program, and delicious food. Join us and soak in the unique charm of Bad Zwischenahn!

On October 26, between 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., we await you at Jagdhaus Eiden on the covered garden terrace with a view of the Zwischenahner Meer.

The Tinnen brass band will ensure a good atmosphere.
