The wine cellar is the utmost passion of our patron Gerd zur Brügge. More than 800 items can be found on our wine list, among them several rarities that you will find nowhere else. Francesco Floris, restaurant manager of the Apicius and sommelier, takes care that no guest loses track and gives recommendations, where food and wine join in a harmonious combination. Time and again he travels to his homeland Italy in order to purchase good drops – from insider’s tips to classics – from trusted vintagers. The already traditional vintagers’ menu at the Aspicius is an event recurring twice a year, where great vintagers are invited to present their best wines.
